THU "She Stoops to Conquer" Goldsmith's Masterpiece Ren dered by Lenoir Students - "She Stoops, to Conquer," Goldsmith's masterpiece,' as ren dered at Lenoir College on last Monday night was a most happy success. This is a classic, stan dard play, and the roles taken by the individual players were well suited to their personal charac teristics; hence, .could and did play the part in a most realis tic manner. ! Mr. J. A. Abernethy', as Tony, was. without doubt, the hero of [the evening. The eagerness with which the audience each time i a\ aited his reappearance showed I how weil he was doing his part. ! Mr. Coons, who played the diffi , cult role of 'young Marlow, as well as* Mr. Yoder, who imper sonated Hastings, both merited much praise. Miss Hendrix, al ways a favorite, lost none of her I charm as Miss Hardcastle, and | especially did she play her part I weil where "She Stooped to I Conquer." Misses Neas and ITownsen, as Miss Neville and ' Mrs. Hardcastle. and Messrs. I Morgan and Huffman as the male i counterparts, were all in excel j lent form and good dramatic ; r^ste. | The minor parts were only | such in view of space and time, not in acting well these parts. I Upon the whole, the costuming, r the rendition and interpretation of parts reflected most clearly the artist behind the caste. Miss Stecber is an artist who is capa i ble both to interpret and to teach others how to interpret these j masterpieces in a must realistic manner. i There was a large attendance I of Hickory peopie filling the main I auditorium at the College. GERMS IN HER SYSTEM Every Woman Should Read This Advice And the Gener ous Offer That Goes With It The number of diseases peculiar !to women is such that we believe this space would hardly contain a mere mention of their names, and it is a fact that most of those diseases are of a cat : arrah nature. A woman cannot be well if there is a trace of catarrah in her system. Some women think there is no help for them. We positively declare this to be a mistaken ider. We are so s ire of this that we offer to supply me dicine absolutely free of all cost in every instance where it fails to give satisfaction, or does nof substantiate our claims. With this understanding, no woman should hesitate to put our claims to a test. There is only one way to overcome catarrah. That way is through the blood. You may use all the snuffs, douches or like remedlia for years without getting more than temporary ! relief at best. Catarrh in general is a ; diseased condition of the system that j shows locally most frequently in dis ; charges from mucous membranos. ; Local t J eatment should b« assisted I y | internal tretttnent for the general | diseased condition if a complete cure is to be reached. That internal treatment should be scientifically devised aod faithtully administered. Rexail Mucu-Tone is scientifically prepared from the prescription of an eminent physician who for thirty years made catarrh his specialty This rem edy is admirable adapted to the treat | ment of the catarrhal ailments of wo i man.
